1 ¼ pound Fresh Good Quality Ground Beef (15-20% fat) Salt and Black Pepper 4 slices Fresh Mozzarella Cheese (whatever thickness you like) 8 very thins slices Prosciutto di Parma
4 Hamburger Buns (toasted) 2 tablespoons vegetable oilKetchup (Heinz is the Best)
A jar of Best Quality Roast Peppers
4 pieces crisp fresh Boston Lettuce
Imported Italian olive Oil
1 teaspoon dry Oregano
Divide the Ground Beef into 4 equal parts. Shape Beef into Patties about ½ inch thick. Heat a frying pan (Skillet) over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add oil, and heat 15 seconds. Turn flame up to high. Add raw beef patties. Cook 2 minutes. Season burgers with Salt and Pepper, turn the heat down to medium, cook for two minutes more. Turn heat back up to high. Turn burgers over to other side. Season the cooked side of the burger with a little salt and pepper. Cook for two minutes until Burgers are just below medium well. For MEDIUM RARE BURGERS, cook 1 minute less on each side. Once the Burgers are finished cooking, place the bottoms of 4 Burger Buns on 4 separate plates. Add a slice of lettuce on top of each bun. Place a roast pepper over the lettuce. Sprinkle Salt, Black Pepper, Oregano, and a little Olive Oil over the Roast Peppers.
Place a cooked Burger on top of peppers.
Place two slices of Prosciutto over each Burger.
Place a slice of Mozzarella over the Prosciutto and sprinkle with salt, Black Pepper, and a tiny bit of Olive Oil.
